B) x + y = 36
A) x = 81 / y Substituting this into B)
B) 81/y + y = 36 Multiplying both sides by y
81 + y^2 = 36y
y^2 -36y +81 = 0
Solving by quadratic formula
x1 = 33.5885
x2 = 2.4115
