note: 0.5v^1/3=(0.5) times (v^1/3)
pemdas
parenthasees (none)
exponents v^1/3
multiply 0.5 times (v^1/3)

so
x^(z/t)=[tex] \sqrt[t]{x^z} [/tex]

so v^1/3=[tex] \sqrt[3]{v^1} or \sqrt[3]{v} [/tex]

the multiply by 0.5
0.5 times [tex] \sqrt[3]{v} [/tex] or more commonly written

0.5[tex] \sqrt[3]{v} [/tex]
